At Your Company, Inc., we respect your right to control your personal data. This Data Deletion Policy explains how you can request the deletion of your account and associated data from our NexusChat application.

How to Delete Your Account

Delete Through the App (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete your account is directly through the NexusChat app:

1.Open NexusChat and go to Settings

2.Navigate to Account

3.Scroll down and tap Delete Account

4.Confirm your decision by entering your password

5.Tap Delete My Account to confirm

Request Deletion via Email

If you are unable to delete your account through the app, you can request deletion by contacting our support team:

Subject Line: Account Deletion Request

Please include the email address or phone number associated with your account to help us locate and verify your identity.

Processing Timeline

After receiving your deletion request:

Initial ResponseWithin 48 hours
Account DeactivationWithin 7 days
Complete Data DeletionWithin 30 days

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your profile information (name, profile picture, bio)
  • Your account credentials
  • Your message history (encrypted content)
  • Your contact list and group memberships
  • Media and files you have shared
  • Your app preferences and settings
  • Any Web3 identity associations (if enabled)

Data We May Retain

In accordance with legal and compliance requirements, we may retain certain minimal information after account deletion:

Note: Retained data is kept in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Anonymized data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Important Considerations

Warning: This action is irreversible

Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your data, messages, or any associated information. Please make sure to export any data you wish to keep before requesting deletion.

Group Messages

Messages you have sent to groups may remain visible to other group members, but will be disassociated from your account and shown as "Deleted User."

Active Subscriptions

If you have any active subscriptions, please cancel them before deleting your account. Account deletion does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed through Apple.

Identity Verification

To protect your privacy and prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing an email deletion request. This may include:

  • Confirming the email address or phone number on your account
  • Answering security questions
  • Providing the last 4 digits of a payment method (if applicable)
